The Greenfinch. A nice surprise?

Every now and then we get a bird pay us a visit for the first time? At least I don't remember seeing one in the garden before?
The were quite common in this area in the 50's.
We were pretty well served with Railway lines and the Greenfinches were renowned for flying in large flocks, feeding on the flower seeds that grew along side the tracks. They were often joined by the Bullfinches and Yellow Hammers too.
The margins along the Railway tracks gave them a safe haven I suppose?

May be my food supply for the birds is becoming famous eh?   lol
