Upper Quinault River - Jefferson County Reach

Well it was another great day on the Upper Quinault albeit a little wet. Here's a great example of side channel habitat that is utilized by blueback salmon in the river for spawning and rearing. The goal of our project to to help these areas be more stable after the removal of old growth timber and logjams from the floodplain which has led to an increase in channel migration rates and stream energies.
