Leg Rower,Inle Lake,Myanmar,

Had another day out on a boat on Inle Lake todayand saw the leg rowing fishermen.We visited a local weekly market which was thronged with folk from all the villages on and around the lake,coming to buy and sell produce.Also to a silversmiths workshop where I was tempted by some fish earrings.After lunch we went on to the Jumping Cat Temple. Apparently the previous abbot encouraged the monks to play with the many cats around but the new abbot disapproved so now there are just a few cats around,sleeping happily in the sun. The boat took us through the narrow channels in the floating gardens where people grow their crops and live in houses built on stilts over the water. It was a super interesting day and we met some lively friendly Shan people.
