Sunday: Chinese Shopping Centre
We had a bit of excitement in the night when a wind storm knocked out our electricity. In it itself, that's not that interesting, but it triggered our alarm system at the RCMP (it wasn't audible to us) which meant we had the RCMP on the phone at 0500 in the morning. I slept through the landline call, but K. heard the mobile ringing - they said they'd been just about to send a team round. That would have been interesting.
The rest of the day has been spent in rather a wasted food coma. H and J have some friends visiting from the UK so asked us to join them for dim sum this morning. That would have been fine if we hadn't also been invited to theirs for dinner in the evening. Far too much food today, we shan't be doing that again.
This shopping centre is always completely deserted. If it wasn't for the dim sum restaurant I have no idea how they would keep open.
