Greyfriar’s Kirkyard

Today was absolutely glorious, cold, clear and sunny, but sadly there was a lot of black ice on untreated surfaces. A;; would have been fine until a wintry shower late yesterday afternoon and this washed the salt off in places and then froze. The consequence was that today’s orienteering in the Old Town was non-competitive. All the controls were there, so nearly everyone enjoyed their courses in the fabulous weather. I have only run once since early November so was glad of an excuse to walk my course and wait until tomorrow before running. I took the camera and took a few pictures; this is Greyfriar’s Kirkyard with my penultimate control  by a tree in the bottom left quarter.
