Snowing

Yesterday I found a screw on the doorstep. Investigation this morning showed it had come from the front door. I tried to reattach it, but there was nothing to attach it to. I disassembled that bit of the door, and found a nut, which thankfully hadn't fallen in to the door frame. So reassembled the door parts, and then checked remained screws. The door shuts and locks much more smoothly now.

Still icy so no bike ride today. About lunchtime, it began to snow again quite heavily, but the Met Office forecast was for fog. Took this shot from the kitchen window. A bit soft, but the snowflakes were quite large.

Didn't plan to do anything after lunch, but the snow went off just after 2,, so my partner and I went down to Morningside. The charity shops were very quiet, people taking the option to stay inside for the afternoon. It wasn't too bad, but it did feel quite cold. Heading home, it had started to rain very lightly, and the snow beginning to thaw. Apparently by Tuesday, temperatures will be in double digits. Not that it will be pleasant, high winds and rain.
