Blowing in the Wind

Woke up to a power outage and heavy rain.  The power went out around 5 am and came back on just after noon, thank goodness.  And thank goodness for our wood stove that we can use to heat water because we both want coffee first thing in the morning!
The huge Douglas fir trees just past the edge of our driveway catch the wind like sails and sway incredibly in high winds.  So do the enormous cedar trees in the front of the house.  It can be a little scary.
Thought I'd better post a blip before we lose power again.  We heard that nearly 70,000 people had lost power on the mainland, Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands.  There were numerous ferry cancellations.  A good day to stay inside and play with photos - or read a good book by the fire if the power goes out again.
If only answers to solving some of today's problems were Blowing in the Wind
