Get in the back of the van

A difficult day, a stressful morning following a strange evening and an awkward parting.
Everything ready to go home. 9 hours until ferry time. Let's hit the road. Wearing sunglasses to hide the tears.
We were treated to an interesting journey though. Crossed the Loire and it was still barely flowing (took a picture). Massive storm cell clouds around Rouen with incredible rainbow displays (didn't take a picture). Got lost right near the port and had to take the next ferry, including taking a wrong turn at customs and having to go through passport checks a second time with some very weird looks. Made it in the end though, in time to park up and sleep until the following morning when we unloaded.
