Made me smile

More snow fell first thing, slowly turning to rain as the day progressed. I sat indoors, comfortable and enjoyed watching England win their third consecutive match against Australia at cricket.

Then it was off to John Lewis, who again exceeded expectation by replacing a toaster, without a quibble, that gave up the ghost over the weekend.

We finished the day with a family meet up and dinner in a local pub, complete with this sign. I try to make sure my grammar is accurate, though the rules are sometimes complex and I know I make mistakes on occasion, but even I spotted two errors in this phrase of only six words. Surprisingly, the apostrophe was in the right place.
