It was absolutely hammering down when we got up this morning, and J wanted to go to a Model Train Show in Barry. I didn't, but went anyway just to keep the peace. The journey was a nightmare, with wall to wall rain. We got soaked walking from the car park to the the venue, and it wasn't that busy, as most sensible people had stayed at home. We saw this Lionel watch on one of the stalls, and it's made by an American company, who also make model trains. Instead of tick tocking, it makes a chuffing sound, also it can be set to blow a whistle on the hour. The watch face replicates a small train going around the track, which replaces the second hand. J wasn't interested in it, which surprised me, as he said he said it was too gimmicky. He bought a few things, and then we set off for the journey home. The rain was even heavier on the way back, and it still hasn't stopped.Thank goodness we live on high ground, but I hope there won't be any flooding because the amount of rain that is falling, is frightening. We are going to have a steak dinner soon, and later on, watch Vera.
