My Ship Is Coming In....

We board our ship, the Celebrity Silhouette tomorrow, but she was due to dock today at 10am. I had hoped to see her come through the Giudecca Canal, but we had a Secret Doges Palace Tour booked for 9am so I thought we'd be inside by the time she passed San Marco...

Wrong!

Silhouette started coming through the Canal at about 8:30am and passed us around 8:45am, dwarfing all the gondolas and ferries.

She is 122,000 tons and came into service last year. A beautiful ship inside, but a definite ugly duckling on the outside.

We board her tomorrow!
