Sir Frederick Banting

Sir Frederick Banting was born in Alliston, the high school is named after him, and his homestead is a historical site. My friend and I decided to go check it out today and it was quite interesting. The woman who is the guide is very knowledgable and extremely passionate about it all. Sadly she says not many people ever visit it, not even the local schools. Seems like a perfect place for a field trip that is close, interesting and free!
