marius et ses amies

We went to the ‘voeux du maire’ this morning. Every January the mairie hold a little get-together to announce their plans for the year. There’s always plenty of wine and nibbles afterwards :) Marius was sleeping so I missed the mayor’s speech, but there was still plenty of food left by the time Marius and I arrived :) Pierre and dad had already had quite a lot to eat and drink! haha.

Here is Marius with his two friends, Blanche and Siloé. They are twins and they are so sweet! Blanche kept giving Marius hugs. Their dad, Yan, loves to bake and he was talking about us maybe having a baking master class where he shows me how to do things like vacherin or choux buns, and I can show him how to do typically British baking! Maybe I’ll start with blipper ValC’s marmalade and ginger cake! :)
