Happy Retirement Lynne

Back to a more run of the mill blip today after yesterday’s pleasing attempt. Thank you for the hearts and stars. Nonetheless and important blip for Lynne who retired today after 25 years as School bursar at West Borough.

A surprise retirement tea was held to celebrate Lynne’s retirement with past and present members of staff all wishing her well. Susan enjoyed returning to the school where she spent the vast majority of her teaching career from 1986 to finally finishing in 2016; enjoying meeting up with old colleagues and friends.

For us both it was probably the end of our association with the school as I’m no longer a Governor and now she has her pension I can’t see Susan back there or anywhere in a hurry.

We told Lynne that we’d reserved a space for her in the Third Age and that she was expected. She’s off to Vietnam on Wednesday to visit her daughter. Start as you mean to go on Lynne. Surprised you’re not going tonight!
