The End of Day One

Today was day one of the Red Bull Defiance race.  The cycle from Minaret Burn was 43 km.  Stage 2, the run over Rocky Mountain Abseil, a total of 11 km.  Stage 3, Kayak Matukituki River to Wanaka Waterfront, 20 km.  My main blip is of a team of kayakers arriving at the Wanaka waterfront.

The first extra is of the finish of the cycle leg.  The man running in front of the cyclists has a TV camera.  Maybe we will see this footage on TV tonight!  Extra No. 2 is of the runners setting out and extra no 3 is of the mountainous terrain they face.  Extra No 4 is of a team crossing the finishing line.

I managed to get in a couple of games of croquet, extra no 5.  It is another very HOT day, +28!!!
