Wet feet and no birds

Blipmate and I were out with the idea we would sit and get shots from one spot. Well we spied the spoonbills in a tree and as the tide was only just turning we ventured out towards them. No sitting. We were standing this side of the channel by that catamaran busy trying to zoom in on the birds when next minute we heard running water and it was round our feet.
We retreated, tried again and another small channel let water through on the land side- I think we better go back and a few minutes later it looked like the extra.That is the tree the spoonbills sit in.

We spent some time sitting at the Sanctuary Ponds and we saw, but I didn't conquer, the damsel flies. I just hope BM did.
