Kilwinning Abbey

A trip to Ayrshire today for the funeral of my Uncle Robert. Although born in Aberdeen he moved to Kilwinning ( my grandparents home town ) to join his uncle as a GP in the late 1950s. He spent his entire professional life as a GP in the town and there was a good turn out of old patients , staff and colleagues at today’s funeral. For me it was a chance to catch up with my Ayrshire cousins and their families whom I don’t get to see very often.
