Crab Apples

I had to go for a hospital out-patient appointment at lunchtime today from work and thought that as the hospital was a few miles away from where I live, I might see something interesting and different to blip on the way.

Sadly not, but whilst consulting with my Consultant in her consulting rooms, and through the window I see a little old tree bearing some colourful little crab apples in the garden outside one of the wards. The Sister of the ward kindly let me take my camera into the garden so I blipped away at the rather scabby crabbies.

I love making crab apple/rowan and other jellies - great with pork and I like it with lamb too.
