This is the old Scottish Agricultural College in Inverness. The old house once known as Drummondhill but as these scientific egghead a***holes don't think of putting that name on the signs by the gate but still sometimes use it in correspondence we still several times a year get frustrated postmen/couriers knocking on our door asking where the hell this place is. It's quite close to us as the the crow flies but quite a bit further if clambering over walls isn't your thing. There's a long drive to it from its entrance gate and I've taken shots in the past of the distant house and the lodge by the entrance. Today I got a parcel from Amazon just as Mrs P was leaving to check in with a work colleague. When she returned she brought in another Amazon parcel which had been left in the porch - I was on the point of ripping it open thinking another order had arrived extra early when I realised it wasn't for me me but addressed to a woman at Drummondhill Lodge. As I needed exercise took it round to the lodge at the end of the Drummondhill's drive. No answer and I could have left it in the porch but being nosy followed the instructions on a small note and took it to the "big house" where the addressee obviously worked. So I got a close look at the house and some surrounding buildings and got a look inside even if only as far as reception. Curiosity satisfied.
It's no longer a college in the teaching sense but they have Vetinerary Services, a Disease Surveillance Centre and other things. I believe its moving and that means houses will be built on the large area between house and road (one reason why I chose a slightly distant shot from part-way up the drive) to give a small idea of the surrounds. The house will doubtless become divided into "luxury flatlets" as has happened with so many old buildings in Inverness.
