Eye Surgey

After racing home to LI Saturday night to get to a family birthday party, spent all Sunday at my grandmother's house with a ton of cousins and aunts and uncles milling about. No good pictures of them, really (there are just too many of us.) But the whole family had to laugh when my mother's best friend from childhood, who we still consider a huge part of our family, sent my grandma a, "Get well soon!" flower arrangement for an eye surgery she hasn't had yet.
I miss my mom's friend Maryanne, who lives in Colorado and I get to see once a year if I'm lucky. But we're always thinking of her, and she us.
