A Good Horse
A lovely morning at Wilder Ranch State Park, a few miles north of town. We walked the trail in The Opposite Direction for a change--a little disorienting to those of us who are creatures of habit. The surf was high enough for them to post warning signs at the park entrance, and, indeed, the spray reached us high on the cliffs. I saw what I think was a peregrine falcon, a great egret, quail, a couple of hawks, a rabbit, geese, gulls, and a handful of seals as they were buffeted by the waves. The sun poked out, then disappeared, playing tag. The rain finally came, but long after we got home.
