The dropped stitch

Decided another home day was not possible, so headed off cautiously to do some work. The main roads were fairly black, but side roads icy and pavements in town were thick with hard packed snow and ice.

Exchanged several smiles and remarks with other pedestrians as we tippy-toed along, with that fear that at any moment you might be flat on your back.

With present road conditions felt it wise to get a new tyre on the old car. It meant a bit of a wait. Lots of other people obviously having the same thought today. I 'wandered' along to take a photo of the large wind turbine. Actually - more very careful walking. Easiest on the road, but then I had to keep hopping onto the verge, into the deeper snow, to avoid vehicles.

Dancing cancelled, due to the weather.
