ruffled feathers

It's been a bit of a day for ruffled feathers at work. Back home this evening, the wind was getting up, and this blackbird was feeling it. I've just started reading a book about feathers, it looks fascinating. The author says that although it's his job to get the reader turning the pages, he also wants you to get outside and watch birds at every opportunity. Happy to oblige.
