Into The Light

It poured all day and the roads were flooded as usual, making the return journey from Paradise hazardous as ever.

But as I returned, the sun burst through and lit up everywhere with an incandescent brightness, reflected and magnified by every watery reflection.

A golden ribbon lay before me, illuminating the way home.
