Vikings Ahoy

After my return to Aberdeen yesterday a trip to find some food was needed today. I did not fancy going out in the car, and decided I could just get a few things in town.

I called in at the Maritime Museum for a coffee, and took the opportunity to have a wander round. There is usually something new to see if there is time to spare. The photograph is taken form the top floor of the museum overlooking part of the harbour complex.

The Viking ship is the ferry for the Orkney and Shetland. Though I have flown to Shetland (for work), somehow I cannot imagine it is likely I will be a passenger on this ferry. Orkney and Shetland are just too far north, too cold and too windy.
