Class of 60

Researching all the old photos is a nightmare as my father who in almost all respects was very meticulous did not take archiving or detailing photos at all seriously. He would cut photos to fit albums and often not only use photo corners but also glue which means that without specialist knowledge of how to remove it, one can't get to see if any information was written on the back.

In addition, he wasn't too concerned about dates. And so it is with today's and tomorrows photos. One is dated 1959 the other 1960. I have looked at the photo I have already posted on my first school day in 1959 and am sure it was 1960, if not 1961!

Because of the "value" of the two photos, I have taken the liberty of posting them on consecutive days as we were all wearing the same clothes (or else none of us got thrown under the shower).

This was taken at BPs Beach Camp Primary School on the estate. I suspect we had three year groups and this was the junior class. Frankly, I don't remember much but don't have any bad memories so it must have been OK.

The names fail in most cases but some are still in my head. I think our teacher was Mrs. Tonks. I will try my best but suspect not always correct.
From the left:
On the top row, there is a Colin (2nd) and Jeremy de Nobriga (2nd right) and was that Sally far right?
Middle: me, Angelina de Souza, John Porter (to be my best man in 1977)
Bottom: I am positive on the left George Perry but goodness knows why I should remember the name, Colleen? (3rd), Lorraine (5th) and Simone Downs (last)
