At the Red Cross

Today I had a break from my usual work activity (sitting in front of a computer) as I was part of a volunteer team from my work who participated in a charity event to landscape the gardens of our Red Cross Charity shop. At the front of the property we cleared a large grassy patch of rough turf, dug it over and the planted shrubs. At the back we cleared lots of ivy and overhanging branches from the walls around carpark area. Fortunately the weather was kind to us and we had sunshine most of the day. Luckily I was working hard when Linda arrived on her bike to check up on me. See here. My blip is of the finished garden, although it will need time to mature.
