Bread saw and brown cheese
Part of the secret of success in life is to eat what you like and let the food fight it out inside.
It has stopped snowing and the view has improved, but I’m not going anywhere. Rob makes waffles for breakfast, which we eat with brown cheese, which is slightly sweet, comes in a dense block, and is apparently curd rather than cheese. Pleasantly disconcerting.
Rob and Mike get out their cross country skis and start waxing. They use wax that sticks to snow and ice - and have a selection of waxes, each one designed for a specific temperature range.
The skis are light and narrow. The snow is light and fluffy. I wonder how they’ll actually ski on it. No problem, apparently - there is a prepared route nearby and it has already been cleared today. These Norwegians take their cross country seriously.
A busy day. Accounts. Sales. Meetings.
Austin produces a triumphant spread of quesadillas and accompaniments. I go into another online talk-fest while the others relax with beers. By the time I’m done they’ve gone to bed - we’re leaving early tomorrow.
