Oyster Catchers

I estimate there must have been 500 of them on the edge of the incoming tide. I thought Starlings gave a good flying display but the Oyster Catchers can give an equally spectacular performance.
It was blowing a gale this morning, but it was well worth the effort getting out to a beach empty of people.
