Mr Robin

Caught this robin as we were leaving to take Cecil to the Dogs Trust to hand him over to his new family.  It was so sad to say goodbye to him but we left him being cuddled and spoiled by his new owners who were so pleased to see him and he was hardly aware of us walking out to the car - which is how it should be!  The house is very quiet now, of course, and I keep expecting to see him watching me from the sofa or getting excited about his next walk.  Such a dear little chap.  I'm sure he'll be very happy.  We are going to see "Darkest Hour" this evening to take our minds off things so I hope it's as good as people say it is.

For old times sake, I couldn't resist taking the extra of Cecil this morning is his favourite pose outside our bedroom door where he slept.  The stair seemed to be at just the right height for a pillow for him!
