The Soaring Spirit of the Crane

Today's blip title matches the three lanterns conveying the image of a majestic crane. 
Chinese New Year is approaching with its menagerie of auspicious animals. The crane is also a symbol of longetivity but it is a harbinger of peace too. In Chinese & Japanese mythology it has become an image of immortality.
