Monochrome View of the Deck Between Snows

This is the view of our deck between snows. For there was snow before, and there will be snow again. I surveyed this monochrome scene, with the last snow removed but the next snow not yet arrived, and remembered sitting on this deck on the hot days of summer in the shade, polishing my toes in purple. It seemed such a long time ago!
