Elevate, Gyrate, Pupate
Lovely sunshine today but I had stuff on so couldn't get out with the camera. I picked a lone daisy just before dark and brought it and a lichen encrusted twig indoors. I photographed the daisy on its own and then with the twig on a piece of gold wrapping paper. To my delight a swarm of springtails sprang out of the lichen. Then a couple of minute, very mobile, worms appeared, looking by their frantic gyrations as if they were tying knots. My favourite critter is the one pictured. I think it could be a black soldier fly pupa. :)
