Sgwarnog: In the Field

Race

In the woods between the dam and the viaduct this old mill race winds through the trees, built originally to power the mills a few hundred yards further down at Tong Park.

I was working at home today and by the time lunchtime came around the sunshine had gone and the wintry showers set in, so I was back to the usual January dullness.  I took my Dad's old SLR out with me as the kid's had been curious about it at the weekend;  I hadn't touched it in over ten years. I loaded up a roll of expired film and took a few shots today; if anything interesting comes out I may post it as an extra here further down the line.

The snow arrived in earnest in late afternoon, enough to put me off taking a couple of buses up to Harrogate Town to catch their FA Trophy replay against St. Albans. Pretty much everything else in the locale has been called off, but they have a 3G pitch so they've been able to literally brush the weather off.
