A walk in the Langdales
The weather forecast for the day was quite inhospitable with wind, rain, snow, sleet, hail and thunder all possible. Despite this we set off from the Sticklebarn and walked up to Blea Tarn via the ODG. From there we descended the edge of Blea Moss to the Wrynose Pass road. We then ambled through Little Langdale, over Slater's bridge and back to cars via the wood and a short section of the Cumbria Way. Weather turned out better than forecast with only a couple of snow showers although the last twenty minutes or so into driving hail were a bit bracing. The blip is Blea Tarn from the top of the climb out of the Langdale Valley. In extras is the view from the same spot looking the opposite way down Mickleden.
