A wander round the BP Portrait Awards at the Portrait Gallery and another exhibition, then onto Princes St, which was very windy. So windy in fact, parts of it were closed.

Lunch at Pizza Express, a mooch around the Fruitmarket, then down to Parliament to catch a bus home.

They told us they’d stay awake until the Bells.
They were asleep by 8.30.
