Where the Light Gets In

Village, morning, rain, lights

A quiet morning after the rain ceased and I could join Jean-Pierre inside Le XVI; discussing theatre (last night's rehearsal turned into an excellent discussion on the artistic directions our director wants to take - I love them, he's going even further than what he had told us before the holiday break!), and current world news.

A bit of shopping after that, followed by a nice lunch with Julie of course and a visit from a new real estate agent to give our landlady an alternate quote. Apparently the fact that there's only been two visits so far has her worried that the price she wants for the flat is not right. We'll see. Well, technically, she'll see, as I don't suppose she'll inform us if the price changes: we told her we were not interested in buying the flat.

The biggest news today, though, is that I have received at last my severance papers - and money. I hastened to send the cheque to the bank (warning my advisor that I did), and the signed papers (stating that I agree that the company doesn't owe me a cent more) back to the CEO.

A very good thing done, this. Tomorrow, getting the car serviced. And on Thursday, a new appointment at the job centre, where I'll be able to bring all those papers.
