Dahlia.....

....one of my favourite dahlia's, love the two toned shading with it's vibrant centre.

Certainly a warm summer's day, 24C, plenty of sun this morning but late this afternoon clouds rolled in and stayed. 

I had to stake my lily this morning as it was nearly touching the grass. It's a new one and is taller than I, it's covered in flowers and looks beautiful, delighted it didn't snap during the wind and rain.

The storm which lashed the North Island has now subsided but has left a trail of destruction, a shame for holidaymakers and for home owners.

Tis Sunday a new week begins, hope it's a good one :)
