DAY 5 - I’M OUTTA THIS PLACE

Big day today, I got the final all clear to head for home. The coronary triple bypass surgery has been a success. This is one of my friends I shared the ward with, Peter. I couldn’t have asked for a better ward mate. We shared pain and relief and plain old good company. My appetite has shrunk drastically over the last few days, so I suppose I should take advantage, and loose some weight.

My cardiac surgeon came in to see me just before 8 am. and told me I could go home. It was a busy morning thereafter, in preparation for my departure.

Both the surgical team and the nursing staff have done an amazing job and I thank them from the bottom of my heart!

It’s great to be back!
