The Magic of Perthshire forest

The cold and wet didn't do anything to dampen our spirits as we took to Birnam Hill for a winter woodland walk. The overcast sky, wet ground, and valley mist gave the trees, ferns and mosses an extra rich colour. Purples,  oranges, blues, and greens; what a treat. Sadly, I'm no landscape photographer or I'm sure I would have gotten some beauties.

Anyway, this was on the decent, after lunch, and just a magical section of moss covered trees.
