Rubbish home.

I feel a bit of a rant coming on.

I've read today that a local vet has helped a swan in trouble at a local beauty spot.

The swan had got caught up in fishing equipment the vet and other passers by helped get it out of the water where they found it had swallowed some bait on a hook. The vet took the swan to his practice and removed the offending objects under anaesthetic. He also found other hooks in its stomach. The swan would have starved to death if it hadn't been rescued.

Lately we've been hearing of plastic straws in the ocean and killing creatures in the sea.

Surely at least one way to reduce such cruelty happening to living creatures, and its not the only solution, but a start,would be if people took their rubbish home.
