Clitheroe

After a couple of hours in the garden and an early lunch we drove over to Clitheroe for our quarterly visit to the wine merchant. Having bought supplies we then dropped into the rather splendid Bowland Brewery beer hall. We chose a beer from the 24 or 30 hand pumps and then sat in the magnificent engine room down the centre of which is the original engine that used to power the mill. There are plans to try and get it running again but not under steam.
