Tower

Despite another very dull day, we enjoyed a 4 mileish circular walk around Penicuik Estate.  The route started with a rather muddy ridge walk and in certain places afforded open views across the estate, before dropping down to walk along the river. This is Knight's Law Tower, which is currently being restored so visitors will be able to climb to the top and admire the view.  It was both a belvedere and a doocot.
