Butterflies at Wisley
I went to Wisley Gardens with a friend to see the butterflies in the glasshouse. It is very popular so our plan was to get there early and visit the butterflies, then visit the rest of the gardens. There didn't seem to be as many butterflies as in previous years, but we spotted more the longer we were there. This one is, I believe, is a Morpho peleides (blue morpho). It was very hot in there so we decided to move on. After the glasshouse, we went to Battleston Hill where the scent was amazing, with Daphne’s, Witch hazel and Sarcococcus (or something like that) at their best. Then it was time for a snack.
We decided to have lunch in a local pub by the canal. Butternut squash soup - very tasty.
