Autumn glow

Another busy day, after a somewhat broken's night sleep, has left me somewhat shattered. I dropped Alex at the station at seven, came home to write a report, and then took Chris to the station just after half-past ten, to catch his train back to Sheffield. More report writing followed, together with some invoicing. Amazingly one client paid me within an hour of receiving the invoice - a new record and very much appreciated!

After lunch Ben and I took the dogs out to Ferry Meadows. After a cold, grey, damp start the day turned out to be quite pleasant - ideal for a brisk walk round the lakes. The trees are just starting to turn colour, with the dogwoods leading the parade. After our walk we went to the local garden centre for a hot drink, and to buy a selection of spring bulbs to plant into the newly re-discovered lawn and flower beds.

Thanks so much for yesterday's hearts and stars - the young heron proved very popular and just made the Spotlight!
