Orange Phone
Orange is one of the biggest mobile phone providers in France. From what i've researched, France has almost complete coverage within the country. This is quite amazing; however, calls within France are a bit expensive. It is 55 euro cents just to make a call, quite ridiculous I would have to say. I haven't really made any calls to people here yet (except for calling home), but texting is and will be my primary means of communicating if I need to contact someone urgently.
I did find out, though, that I can call home for 18 US cents using my US T-Mobile sim card under a wi-fi network. The downside about using the wi-fi network is that I've had some difficulties sustaining my connection to the network. My calls have frequently gotten cut off and I sometimes I need to reset my connection to the wi-fi network by reinstalling my Orange sim card. Anyway, I'm happy that I can call home using my own phone. It makes it really easy to call back home.
In this photo, you see my French phone, which I don't use. I just switch out my sim cards on my American phone. My own phone is so much cooler anyway. This LG KP100 is the most cheap (physically and costly) ever. I only got this phone because it was cheaper to buy a phone and sim card together (29 euro) then to buy a sole sim card (30 euro).
One last thing, this photo was a last minute picture. I had the most overwhelming day. Let's just say that I went to class and I did not understand everything the professor was saying. I understood about half of his lecture. It was the most confusing film lecture I've ever had and I don't know what I should do... I'll hope for the best and just keep trying to understand.
