The dropped stitch

spot the sea?

Not a busy day, but one or two calls to make this morning, then I stopped by the pier at the southern tip of South Ronaldsay.

Like an exhibit in a sculpture park or the abandoned construction toy of a giant, stroppy toddler, these concrete blocks make a large and interesting statement.
I think they were for the construction of an extension to the pier.

With the wind whistling outside, (and a little inside too), it was hard to leave the fire this evening, but a meal and chat with D made a very pleasant, quiet Saturday night out.

There is oil of some kind leaking out of the car (again). I tried to park it on top of a large piece of cardboard, anchoring said 'drip tray' in place with the front tyres. Easier said than done, when the wind is trying to take the cardboard away.
