Judith's photos

The courtyard at Lacock Abbey

Lacock Abbey was home to Fox Talbot, he of the very first photographic negative. So I had to give this an 'aged' look!

Last evening's talk by Jack Lowe was absolutely fascinating. Not only is it one of the largest photograhic projects by an individual in the world (a minimum of 3 images from each of the UK's 248 lifeboat stations), he's working with a Victorian camera, a 1905 lens, and using the collodion wet plate process. He's driving round the country in a former ambulance that doubles as his mobile darkroom - a vehicle that still bears the name of Neena given to it by its previous owner!
