A sad day

I woke this morning to the news that my Grandpa had died in the night.

I have no idea how to write this blip.

I know that he lived until a ripe old age
I know he passed away in his sleep with no pain
I know the last time I saw him he was on good form, the kids put a big smile on his face and with his new hearing aid they all had a great chat
... but he was my grandpa and none of that really helps too much just now.

Mixed in with all my feelings for my Grandpa I've also realised that I am grieving for my Grandma all over again because my Grandpa kept so much of her alive for me.

As I said I don't know how to write this blip and I definitely don't know how to end it. I know I loved my grandparents and I hope they knew that and I know they loved me because they showed that all the time.
