The Muse

Took J to a new local restaurant for lunch today as we start to celebrate his birthday week. It was a great place with huge burgers, huge cheesy chips and huge screens on the wall and J loved it all ;o)

He has already scored some birthday money even though the actual day is not until Tuesday so he was determined to spend it of course. Found a great speaker which has a disco light on top that pulses in time with the music and it can play all the music on his phone via Bluetooth and also has a microphone for singing along, he was in seventh heaven ;o)

We went and had a cake afternoon tea with G and he gave J some (more) Birthday money! More shopping to be done next Saturday ;o)

It was also 37c today and thank goodness everywhere we went was air conditioned so it wasn't too bad. I strolled out into the heat at G's to try for a photo of something and the yard right down the back was bone dry with hardly a blade of green. The Muse strolled over and sat on my foot as I was getting a shot so he became the focus of the shot as he meowed at me to pat him!

I really wanted to get an ICM shot of him but he wouldn't really co-operate at all so there is a strange zombie shot of him in the extras ;o)

Things have cooled down to 27 now (9.30pm) and the forecast for the next few days is cooler too as the remains of a cyclone makes it way down to us in the south and brings some welcome rain.
